Weyburn, Saskatchewan’s Graham DeLaet led the PGA in total driving last year, a stat derived by combining a player’s rank off the tee in distance and accuracy. Along with his clubs, here’s what the first Canadian to crack a Presidents Cup team since Mike Weir totes to tournaments. An abbreviated version of my story ran in CAA Magazine.

Manscaping keepsake:  I never leave home without my shave kit. Not only does it hold my essentials (razors, toothbrush, paste, etc.) but I've also had it since I was an amateur.  I received the kit when I played in the Canadian Amateur in Vancouver in 2003.  I've thought about replacing it with a new one but it still works great and has some sentimental value.

Accessorizing: I bring one black pair and one white pair of FootJoy shoes and carry quite a few belts to match different outfits. Up to 8 at a time.

True-life thrillers: I'm currently reading Confessions of an Economic Hitman.  I most enjoy reading books based on real people and life events that have some action, such as people going undercover in corporations or governments.

On-plane nutrition: My wife usually has ProBars that she's packed. Otherwise, dried fruit, fresh fruit and nuts. I also like coconut water when flying. I usually try to eat a meal before flying so I don't have to rely on nuts to hold me over.

Headcover flare:  I have a Canadian maple leaf putter headcover in red and white. I like that I can always carry a symbol of Canadian pride with me when I’m playing internationally.

Travel Golf Bag: I've been using Club Glove for years. They are very durable and I've never had an issue with it.

Tablet Diversions:

I play lots of games on my iPad, anything from Paper Train to Candy Crush.

Comfort MacGyver:

I carry a hand towel that I roll up and put behind my back for extra lumbar support.
