As we wait for Spring to truly sprout it’s time to salute golf’s most underappreciated garment, the humble layer. Kudos go out to the St. Anton Zipper Sweater (msrp $140) which I’m rocking off the cart path at South Carolina’s Congaree National swamp, a National Park which incidentally features the largest assemblage of old growth bottomland hardwood forest left in America. This lightweight full zip mesh sweater with Velcro cinches at the wrists and front side pockets is my go-to layer these days to throw over the polo when it’s a tad chilly. Garment tech wise, 3M reflective inserts are on the front and back yoke.
